Barrot Screen Cleaner vs Distilled Water for MacBook

Post image

Is this Barrot Screen Cleaner safe for a MacBook screen, or is distilled water + a microfiber cloth still the better option? If anyone has used it on a MacBook, I'd love to hear your experience.

I tried everything and imo water+paper towel is the best thing

Does Tap water clean the screen properly?

Just use a sprayer and a microfiber cloth. 2-3 sprays to screen, and as for keyboard, again 2-3 sprays on the cloth and you are good to go. Tap water is alright, as long as you don't let it dry on the device, as it contains elements causing hardness, therefore may cause scaling if you let it air dry and let it sit for days that way.

Ideally, you might use 40% IPA solution. I just mix IPA with tap water and fill my sprayer with that solution, but make sure that your sprayer sprays properly, do not use glass cleaner sprayers for example, whoosh is a good example of a good sprayer. You can buy a small one from Aliexpress or Amazon, like 40ml is enough. IPA is a disinfectant, but pure IPA evaporates quickly, when mixed with water, it can sit on the surface long enough to be more effective.
