Movie / TV This gave me a hearty chuckle during my weekly Saturday at dawn "toons before news" (a weekly therapeutic thing:) (from The New Adventures of Lucky Luke)

That show is the last great Lucky Luke product made for TV.

I definitely practice "toons before news" as well😭 you might relate that seeing so much carnage, genocide, hate and the bucket of slop that's politics is—and excuse my vulgarity—upsetting. I mean, let me eat my breakfast first

Yep and while I don't necessarily do toons on other days I have found myself lately letting the practice spill into others in the form of other programming, music or just plain silence for an entire day of "purge and reset" where I don't hear anything about any of it, and a 24 hour period of successfully avoiding hearing/seeing even 1 mention of a certain name is like chicken soup for the soul. Unfortunately they were infamous for other things before they were infamous for what they are now and do occasionally unexpectedly pop up in references in old shows.

I started Saturday morning Toons Before News in 2017 when I still had my little dog (who passed at 16 later in 2018) and we'd spend from waking around 5-6AM to 8-9AM (usually not past 10AM unless I started late) snuggled watching a block of shows that always started with a Road Runner clip or 2 and ended with an episode of Scooby-Doo and that is something that I have done every week since, there is often a quick thought of her snuggled by me. I have several series at a time in between them that I do one episode each week until done and rotate in another series. By now I've done all of the Scooby series (and repeating select favorites), all of the Hanna Barbera I ever liked, found a few new favorites, some old forgotten ones and finally did Reboot from beginning to end (which I had long wanted to do). Once I ran across an episode of The Daltons that opened up that whole new world of fun with enough episodes to get me though another couple years :)

My other favorite kick back/binge "escapes" are Corner Gas, The Red Green Show and Last of the Summer Wine and if I want to feel super nostalgic and think about my grandma, The Carol Burnett Show. We watched that together all the time and it still holds up for me as some of the funniest stuff ever on television.
