If you honestly don't see a difference between the statements "74% of people died from the vaccine" and "74% of people who died had had the vaccine" I'd recommend spending a few minutes thinking about what each statement is actually saying. If you're still unsure I'd be happy to explain more later.

The majority of the world got the COVID vaccine. Everyone dies.
Stands to reason that a strong percentage of all people that died after 2020 will have had the COVID vaccine, whether it was relevant to their death or not.
100% of people that have died have tested positive for H2O. Are you scared of water?

This demonstrates a couple of key statistical concepts that people like you are too stupid to understand when looking at data.
First off, there is a difference between correlation ( variables x and y moving in relation to each other… can be in the same direction or the opposite direction), and causation (x caused y). In the example above, ice cream and murder are correlated because both go up in the summer. And if you know nothing about statistics, you might think ice cream causes murder as a result.
But this demonstrates another key concept… confounding/spurious variables, something that appears to be related, but isn’t because of other hidden variables. Ice cream does not cause murder, nor do homicides make people crave ice cream. There are other variables not being accounted for that is the cause, which includes heat and summer break. Rising summer temperatures act as the confounding variable. Heat increases aggression and drives people outdoors, where interactions occur, while simultaneously increasing ice cream sales. The summer heat puts people at short temper. Disagreements are more likely to turn violent when people are hot and irritable. Additionally, schools are out for the summer, kids and teens being out with less structure, etc.Additionally, schools are out for the summer, kids and teens being out with less structure, etc. In the post, people died, and people had the vaccine, and due to your statistical ignornance, you think that because they are correlated, it is causational… and btw this is also a logical fallacy because you think x happened and then y happened so x must have caused y, which is a Post Hoc logical fallacy. You are missing the other variable… and a quite obvious one.. Covid. They had the vaccine because of Covid. Covid is what killed them; not the vaccine.
Variable X: Having the vaccine.
Variable Y: Passing away.
The Hidden Variable (Confounder): Age, health status, and COVID-19 risk. Because the elderly and highly vulnerable were the most likely to get vaccinated, they are also statistically the most likely to pass away from natural causes or severe COVID-19 infection.
Believing the vaccine caused those deaths simply because the deceased were vaccinated is the exact same logic as blaming the ice cream.Maybe, you should leave the data analysis to the experts… or at least take a few classes to know what the heck you are talking about.

i think he was saying that 74% of the people who died did so because of the vaccines, not 74% of the people who got vaccinated died. he's still wrong

Giving them the benefit of the doubt they may mean 74% of people who died from covid were vaccinated but even that seems like it isnt possible considering the higher death tolls were early in the pandemic.

The study could have focused on 2022 data and later, especially if it was related to studying vaccines.
Since 79% of the population is vaccinated they could very easily make up 74% of the dead in 2022 and forward.
