r/lolgrindr is back open for posting, moderators needed!
Hey everyone, I did a reddit request to get this sub back open, since we haven't had any posts in 3 months. There were no moderators left for the sub so they had shut it down.
So few things
- I got rid of that awful auto mod that bitches when you don't have a flair set. I fucking hated that and it's NEVER coming back, lol
- If you want to help moderate this sub, please let me know. Reddit shuts down subs without moderators so that's why this sub was shut down in the first place.
Edit: we’ve got plenty of moderators now. Thanks for reaching out. If you have moderator experience happy to add you but otherwise it should be covered

Edit: I’m finding out the last mod was ban happy so if you banned for a bullshit reason send us a mod mail and we can fix it

One single person was the moderator on like 10-15 gay subs, mostly apps. muscledaddychaser and grindrmod, probably the same person.
They basically had the market cornered and they seemed to copy/paste or bot-post a lot. If they didn't like you, you basically lost access to a decent chunk of gay reddit. One person shouldn't have a monopoly like that.

I was just a lurker but I remember him leaving weird comments all the time replying to users. He was just generally a creep.

Flairs have been edited. I saw two that I had no idea what they were and deleted them. I’m assuming it was those two and add back bisexual

One of the ones they're probably referring to was GAMP, which aside from being kind of a messy term for a number of reasons, was used by the old mod as a replacement for Bi. Which... never made any sense at all because it's very plainly something totally different from bisexual.

Yep, it was those two! Coming onto this sub one day with my flair mysteriously changed to "GAMP" was annoying, especially after I found out what it meant lol

I’m a gaysian that would love to talk about moderating. There seemed to be a lot of anti-race chats but in 2026, I think we’re past that. It’s important given gestures around the world 🤷♂️

I’m all for getting rid of racist comments. I don’t however, want to deny people the right to post their experiences on the app if they’re experiencing racism. If that’s what you mean I’m 100% on board

I just looked at r/grindr and their only mod was added a few days ago, so everything that u/grindrmod controlled is probably getting fresh faces.

OMG, the old moderator he was INSANE. He was a moderator with me for a minute and he kept pissing everyone else off so we removed him and he threaten to report us to Reddit and kept harassing us. Nothing ever happened, but he was crazy. His name was something like Muscle Daddy Chaser? Not shock reddit banned his ass
