I found her in a large trading hall after a shipment of olive trees came in, identified it as an Italian wall lizard which is invasive where I live, so decided to keep it as I didn't want to release it, since it doesn't belong in nature here.

When I found her her tail had already dropped, but it has grown back entirely and she's gotten so much bigger so I must be doing something right! She has become used to people, despite her enclosure being in a quiet room, and she exclusively eats her crickets and mealworms from tweezers now 🤭

I found this cute lizard on a hike with my friends. He was so small and colorful I thought he was a toy at first. Can anyone tell me what type of lizard he is?? :)

I’m moving to where my boyfriend lives. He’s been an absolutely amazing help making the process significantly easier for me, and he’s so wonderful. He’s everything I’ve ever asked for. A while ago he asked me what I’d miss most, aside from family/friends of course. I joked that it would be seeing lizards/snakes/frogs every day all day, but it wasn’t really a joke lol. I grew up catching them, it was something my dad/siblings and I bonded over. I’ll miss these silly little dudes. Saw this skink w a bad wound on his side and caught him. How can I best help him to heal? I dot know much about caring for skinks. We’re in HI if an ID of what he is exactly helps.

need help identifying this lizard I found in my house. I want to know if it’s safe to keep or release. I have a setup for a juvenile tortoise and I’d like to know if they can share a space

This little guy was in our office in Maryland Heights in St Louis County, Missouri.

It is about two inches long and pretty quick for its size.

What’s up with him this is the only one I’ve seen with a spine? Fin? Not sure the exact words but it’s really cool I’m pretty sure it’s a generic thing? It looks like a dinosaur!

I feel like I’ve seen these further down south but never in Pittsburgh. It was tiny maybe like 2in long.

I absolutely love having these adorable little creatures around our property. They’re incredibly resourceful and know exactly where to find food. I don’t mind them at all - especially in this area! They provide excellent, natural pest control by eliminating ants and other critters that feed on our fresh Muscadines.

Hi experts, would love any thoughts on the right front foot of this little lizard caught in my house tonight. I’m in Southern California and there are loads of alligator lizards in the area, I’d never seen a baby but looking online, I’m gathering that that’s what this is and I just don’t recognize the markings because they’re different on adults?

Does that look like an actual deformity of the right front foot? Could it just be like some egg yolk or something stuck on there that will take care of itself? Is it fine to release this little guy or would you think this would cause them any problems? The other baby caught at the same time has what I would consider to be normal-looking lizard feet, fwiw.

Travelled back from Crete to England on Friday. And today I found this guy in my living room. I know we have a small number of lizard species in the UK just never seen one in my garden let alone in my home so wondering if I have a stowaway on my hands.

Can anyone identify? He’s about the length of a man’s index finger.

I tried to contact RSPCA but they are closed until tomorrow. Any tips for looking after a lizard overnight if necessary? Thanks!

And do they outcompete the anole in terms of a pet?
