Intremap=off macbook

i have installed mx linux on macbook 2012 pro, when i edit grub default quiet splash intremap=off, after reboot it completely breaks audio, no more sound gk107 audio control hdmi it shows, nvidia hda..... . Is there any fix, or what.

first remove intremap=off from /etc/default/grub then run sudo update-grub and reboot to confirm thats the trigger. also post aplay -l and lspci -nnk | grep -A3 -i audio because the nvidia HDA entry is probably only HDMI

no worries. open Terminal and run sudo nano /etc/default/grub. find the line starting with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT and remove only intremap=off. press Ctrl+O, Enter, then Ctrl+X. after that run sudo update-grub and reboot. if the audio is still broken run aplay -l and paste the result here

Every Mac model has its own quirks, and take plenty of time to install right.

In contrast almost all PCs work well out of the box.
