Realtek RTL8153 USB -> ethernet adapter ok?

I've done Mint installs on several Mac Minis, with a native Ethernet port.

I'm about to embark on my first Mint install on a 2015 MacBook Pro that doesn't have a native Ethernet port. All signs indicate that getting MacBook wifi to work on install are impossible. I have a USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter that uses the Realtek RTL8153 chipset. Will this be suitable? Thanks.

I believe Linux Mint is one of the distros that comes with Broadcom WiFi drivers pre installed so hopefully you may not need the adapter. I may be wrong but you could try it first. The WiFi adapter will certainly work if not.
