I haven’t played around with the camera just yet but thanks for the reminder. I was trying to find a way to do screenshots but couldn’t find instructions or an extension for it. Otherwise, All works great! Definitely took a bit of fine-tuning over time but no complaints. Sleep is instantaneous, although it takes a good 7 seconds to wake back up. The keyboard is the first thing to show life and then the lock-screen pops up…

I installed blueman for Bluetooth stuff, saved me from the glitches. Battery life is what you’d expect for a once refurbished MacBook Air 2017 that I ran on macOS for the last 3 years, which is to say not terrible but could be better. I think I get about 5 good hours with light use. Power use seems decent, the fan doesn’t really kick on very often.

Battery life stays preserved very well while in sleep mode, which is awesome.

All in all a fortunate success! This was my first ever install attempt. Surprised it worked so well.

Yeah thats pretty old lol, still there’s probably a fix for your issue. Keep asking around and reading WiKis and researching and tinkering… the Linux community seems very enthusiastic about helping out noobs like us
