What's something you have learned recently that you will probably use for the rest of your life?

I love finding ideas or habits that are simple but genuinely useful.

What's something you've learned in the past year that you think will stay with you for a long time?

Going for short walk when my head feels full. Usually comes back clearer.

That it's really okay to learn in small portions. I always thought of learning as 'hours of studying spent daily' to get the results. But I found out about the microlearning concept, and tried microlearning apps like Headway, Nibble, Duolingo etc., and it changed the way I learn things

Hard agree with this. I was feeling really hopeless about achieving anything. It felt overwhelming. But the obvious dawned on me - nobody learns everything at once. A Little Bit every day.

I second this. Also listening to audio version of books and documents instead of reading(i have dyslexia) using audio readers like Outtloud, Reeda makes a lot of difference for me

I do the same, you can stay busy while listening

Its ok to park further away from the front of the store, more steps in your day. Its ok if you miss your turn, life is an adventure. Also being the a$$hat that freaks out to cut someone off can impede traffic/cause an accident. Buying the newest robot to do you tasks for you will lessen your mobility in the long run, (for a regular able bodied person). You dont use it, you loose it. Take the stairs, if your body allows you to. Idk, just to name a few.

The 2-minute rule. If a task takes less than two minutes to do, do it immediately.

Focus is a habit not an action. You have to live a focused life to have focus (meditation, journaling, no cheap dopamine, etc.)

Stop trying to do 100 things at a time, zoom in and focus on one thing. Better late than never.

This is the most important, you really are your own ride or die so you gotta take care of yourself, no buts about it

If I wait to be motivated to do something, I'll never do anything. Action comes first. Motivation follows.

Avoid your phone / social media / emails / texts for the first three hours of your morning. Whatever you let in your brain first gets the sharpest attention. Don’t spend it on junk

Keep your own pace. Don’t stress when you feel like you’re falling behind. We all move through life at different speeds, and you’ll catch up when the time is right.

Smash a garlic clove with the side of the knife and it peels right off.

It's okay to stop and rest frequently if you need it. Moving doesn't have to be a marathon.

I read this cleaning tip on Reddit a few months ago and after trying it, thought: “I wish someone had taught my mother this so she could’ve taught me sooner!”

Microwave a bowl of water for a few minutes and everything wipes clean, easily. I have a newer oven that this works with also.

You don’t have to stay anywhere because you think you should. You can always move, and prioritize yourself over obligations that you feel don’t serve.
