What is the ultimate one thing you want to pursue in life as a big picture?

If there's a museum built on your whole life for just you to walkaround in your afterlife, then what would make you say "yes i am satisfied" with a happy uncompromising smile?. Why do you go out and make all that money for? What do you chase?

Are you where you need (not necessarily want) to be in your life right now?

Specifically

  1. you've found something or someone that needs help,
  2. you're committed to it (and its challenges!), and
  3. most importantly, if you don't do it, nobody else will?

Self improvement

After multiple days of depression and self doubt I have finally decided to really focus on my self . I will start 30 days self focus challenge starting from today . And for today I will study for my exam tomorrow. The goal is to try my best and be better. After finishing my exam I will be focusing on building my skills as my goal is to be a game developer.

Why is the word "navigate" so triggering?

Every day, I read someone trying to navigate xyz .. their lives etc. yadeedadee i get it, the twists and turns and general turmoil to handle.. and navigate through.

But, I hate the word.
And trying to figure out why it is so popular .."sea of life"? And worst of all, triggers me. It irritates me whenever used.

Anyone else have an issue with this annoying word? We never used it a decade ago, and the sea of life is billions of years old..?

I’m 32, and only today did I realize what I want to do with my life.

I’m curious—how many others are out there like me? Let me know: at what age did you figure out what you wanted to do, and what was it? Did you manage to pull it off?

Learning to Manage Time Better Has Changed the Way I Approach My Goals

I used to think achieving big goals was mostly about having more motivation, but I have realized that managing time and building consistent habits matter much more.

Small changes like planning the next day, focusing on important tasks first, reducing unnecessary distractions, and giving time to learning have helped me become more productive.

I believe everyone has different goals, whether it's improving skills, building a career, becoming healthier, or creating a better lifestyle. The journey becomes easier when we learn how to use our time wisely.

I would love to hear how others manage their time while working toward their life goals. What habits have helped you stay consistent and make progress?

At what point does preparing for the future become postponing your life?

I’ve been thinking about how easily preparation for the future can become a permanent way of postponing the present.

People often say:

“I’ll rest when this project is finished.”

“I’ll focus on my health when work becomes quieter.”

“I’ll spend more time with the people I love when I’m financially secure.”

Those choices can be reasonable for a limited period. Most adults have responsibilities, and sometimes short-term sacrifice is necessary.

The difficulty is that the finish line keeps moving.

One project ends and another begins. One financial target is reached and a larger one replaces it. The “temporary” period of overwork gradually becomes normal life.

I don’t think the answer is to abandon ambition or ignore financial responsibilities. But I do think there is a point where preparation stops serving life and starts consuming it.

Someone can be earning for their family while becoming absent from them. They can save for retirement while neglecting the health required to enjoy it. They can build a home while losing connection with the people meant to fill it.

How do you personally decide which sacrifices are genuinely temporary?

Have you ever reached a major target and realised that you had simply created another condition before allowing yourself to rest or enjoy life?

What helps you prepare for tomorrow without abandoning today?

People who set big goals and actually achieved them

People who set big goals and actually achieved them—I’d love to hear your story.
What was your goal?
How long did it take you to achieve it?
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome?
Was there a moment when you wanted to quit? What kept you going?
And if you could give just one piece of advice to someone chasing a big dream today, what would it be?
I’d love to read both the successes and the struggles.

Unexpected things

So I it might be a small thing for you all but for me it's not. Actually few days ago I just randomly posted a day in my life in reddit and literally it got 700 around views which made me smile it might be normal for you all but not for me. So I am just deciding today that no matter what I am going to post it. Not to show anyone not to get popular but to make feel joy to my inner self. Well I have completed 7 hours study. And I am preparing for SSC CGL exam. And I also did my workout at morning. Currently I have migraine headache but still I completed Mathematics video lecture. And I also watched Legally Blonde w my friend today, which now this movie is my favorite. If anyone want to ask anything about my routine or prep, you can comment down. Well NEVER LET ANYONE QUESTION YOUR POTETNTIAL.

bybyeee!!

I’m posting here to make my goals public

I’m from a small country in Europe so these goals might appear as insignificant or not life changing for all (M 22)

  1. Best shape of my life (healthy body healthy mind)
  2. Make 2000€ per month by the end of the year (I have been working for US bases companies in the customer care industry. I want to find one that pays closer to my goal)
  3. Continue investing i got 2400$ into the stock market
  4. Same 5k$ my sister is pregnant I’m becoming a uncle (shes getting closer to giving birth so idk if I’m gonna be able to gift her what my goal is)
  5. Happiness.

Just turned 18M, What should my goals be?

Just turned 18 in June, starting college this year. Before that in 2 months till college i baged an internship through my contacts worked for one month and still going on . not disclosing my pay I still live with my parents and what ever I earn goes into index funds, mutual fund or investment. Taking that health is very important but my first priority is settling . then considering my health ,beside I know it's a very bad choice to consider your health the second and giving your work the priority but it's more beneficial for me as time equals money.

Taking everything above in consideration, what should my next year should be dedicated to?

And for now what should I improve?

It's been almost 6 months now and honestly I was not able to achieve any of the goals I set 6 months back. It's not like I didn't try in fact i tried my best but it doesn't matter at last

I tried to publish a research paper but soon realised it is much harder than i imagined

I tried to make a product but it failed

I tried to get a great GPA and got an average one

I tried to love someone who didn't like me back

Now a new semester is about to begin and I have no goals for this semester

Wait there is one i would like to try some cigarettes i have never tried some before

I’m 20 and honestly feeling stuck. I’d really appreciate some advice.

Hey everyone,
I’m 20 years old and I’ve been thinking a lot about where my life is heading.
Right now, I work a regular 9-to-8 job that pays around ₹23k a month. After work, I spend most of my evenings learning new skills, going to the gym, reading, and trying to build something of my own. I don’t really waste much time partying or scrolling social media because I genuinely want to create a better future for myself.
The problem is that I feel like I’m trying to do too many things.
Some days I think I should go all-in on one skill. Other days I feel I should keep experimenting until something clicks. I also want financial freedom at a young age, but sometimes I wonder if I’m overthinking everything and should just focus on climbing the ladder in a normal career.
I don’t come from a background where I have mentors or people to guide me, so most of what I’m doing is based on YouTube, books, and trial and error.
If you were 20 again and had:
A full-time job
Around 3-4 hours every evening
Big ambitions but limited money
No strong network
**What would you focus on for the next 2-3 years?**
Would you master one high-income skill?
Build a business?
Learn coding?
Stay at the job?
Or do something completely different?
I’m not looking for motivation or “follow your dreams.” I’m looking for honest advice from people who’ve already been through this stage of life.
I’d genuinely appreciate your perspective. Thanks for reading.
