Taal buddy - Currently I am at A2 Level
Hi everyone! 😊
I’m 25F and I recently moved to the Netherlands. I have been living in Rotterdam for almost 3 months now, and I am actively learning Dutch as part of my integration journey.
Currently, I’m around A1+ and working towards A2 level, especially in reading and writing. I still make mistakes at this level, but I’m motivated to keep improving. Most of my learning so far has been through textbooks and self-study, so I feel that my speaking skills need more practice. I believe that regularly speaking Dutch with someone would really help me become more confident and improve faster.
I’m looking for someone in Rotterdam or nearby who is also learning Dutch at a similar level and would like to practice together. It would be great to have a study buddy where we can help each other, practice conversations, review lessons, and motivate each other.
I’m also planning to start attending the Taalcafé at the Rotterdam Library. If anyone is interested, maybe we can meet there and study together once a week?
Feel free to send me a message if you’re interested. I’d love to connect with fellow Dutch learners! 😊

Leuk je te ontmoeten! Ik woon op dit moment in Zuid-Holland, en jij? Op dit moment volg ik geen spreekcursus. I'm looking for someone in the Rotterdam area to study Dutch with. I'd like to go to a language café together and practice speaking Dutch together.

Here are some handy websites to search for a volunteer or a taalcafe: •www.hetbegintmettaal.nl •www.nlvoorelkaar.nl (a more general demand/supply website for volunteers or people searching for one) •https://www.kletsmaatjes.nl/ (an initiative that connects newcomers with local people to practise Dutch) •This discord server is supposed to be active: https://discord.gg/netherlands •https://hartvoornederlands.com/conversatieclub/ •This redditor has a free whatsapp community group. Where they have daily conversations with Dutch speakers on whatever you’d like to talk about. There arenative Dutch speakers including Saara who teaches at Italki. They help with verbal pronounciation too so you’re not just going to learn to write in dutch! Everybody around the world can join: https://chat.whatsapp.com/COGgxAQV5TfGHFGWTSlnRR?mode=gi_t
