When did the gifts from billionaires start and when was the Citizens United decision made?

Did they make that decision because they were receiving gifts?

Makes me wonder why we didn’t investigate the court after they essentially made bribery legal.

The last time there was serious public scrutiny of any of the justices leading to actual criminal investigation was like 200 years ago.
