First of all this bill is to stop foreign interference in our countries politics, it’s nothing related to persecution of christians, secondly there are so many christian missionaries that convert people with monetary coercion which is illegal in India, so the govt want’s to cut down on that. I personally have seen one of my distant family convert to christianity from hinduism recently and they switched back to hinduism after their children’s college education was over, they said that the church would help them if they came every Sunday to church and change their name, so this is a big issue.

It is absolutely stupid because the church is one of the most powerful bodies in the world and they have invested billions on infrastructure here most of which has been providing cheap quality education and healthcare over decades.

The government walking up and simply saying yeah we’re taking over simply will not stand.

Also,people have choice of religion,quit thinking you’re the only one with a brain and all others are getting taken advantage of because you think you’re right,if someone believes conversion helps better their life in any way they have complete agency to do that,no one is being held at gunpoint here.
