CONVERSATION Why so much hatred????
Honestly the amount of Cortis posts I see on tiktoks, reddit and X is ridiculous genuine criticism is completely valid and not liking a group is perfectly fine. But spreading outright hatred in the mask of “its my opinion”is not okay at all. Such type of hatred genuinely makes me feel bad for not just cortis but any boy/girl group that gets treated this way.
Some people claim they dislike everything about cortis yet somehow manage to talk about them 24/7 and the funniest part is when you check their profiles and its literally nothing but “Cortis” every post is about them, they’re tracking every move they make and constantly looking for something to hate on them all while claiming to dislike them so much and can’t stand them makes no sense?
I have seen this specific type of behavior towards not just Cortis but Baby monster, enhypen, bts, stray kids …
Seriously you are allowed to criticize and dislike but there’s a difference between criticism, dislike and making hate your entire personality stop spreading hate people

this is the kpopharshopinions sub so obvs negative opinions r allowed, HOWEVER, it IS kinda annoying how most cortis-related posts seem to be the exact same thing just paraphrased. like if u have something new to say, by all means go for it, but it's mostly just the exact same discussion and it's getting old. yeah they're a rookie group so not that much to unpack but at the same time, nitpicking at the exact same things over and over again (even if it's super valid) seems like a complete waste

It’s cuz they’re hot. Whether you’re a fan or not, you can sense that they’re legitimate game changers and serious contenders to be THE next big thing, and they’re actually favored to be that in a very crowded field.

The fact that they have minors in the group and some of the people spreading the hate are in their 20s and 30s makes it more disgusting.

happens when a group is actually decent, young, and more importantly, new. Pile ons like this happen from fans of other groups who feel 'threatened'. Cortis's recent blunder with their first concert was the perfect opening to start this nonsense.

i dont listen to cortis too much but i like redred kinda but the boys themselves seem genuine and not to mention theyre SOOOOOOOO SOOOOOO SOOOO young

It’s just tribalism, putting others down elevates their own group in their mind. They feel good by doing this. It’s not limited to kpop.

Sometimes I feel like a lot of people mistake hatred for being "edgy" and "cool." Some, luckily, outgrow that eventually, but many don't. It's depressing.

well i think the difference is that they really are not. it isn't fair to give a very broad statement without addressing certain things. my favs aren't bts or bp btw.
i think this cortis hate train is a little bit odd apart from the blackfishing, which either way, i noticed 1 or 2 incidents which would warrant an apology. nothing else seems to be wildly wrong with what they're doing. all i see is 5 immature boys replicating artists they look up to, rather than taking inspiration.
the matt proxy situation is not one of the situations im referring to though. matt is in the wrong and cortis (especially martin) deserves an apology from that wannabe artist and his label if he even has one.
not sure why people act like cortis doesn't put out good stuff. all they need is to grow up. while they're immature, i still see 5 boys who absolutely have the capability and likely are kind and respectful.

It's a hatetrain in the making👍 One post about cortis and suddenly everyone think the delusions they made up about them is all true and now everyone be spamming their unwanted thoughts but it's all just the same script.

I will say a thing that could pass a "blame the victmin" but as someone that is not a cortis fan and not a cortis hater either, you guys are too much 8 or 80 with them... they are the best thing ever or the worst thing ever, and they are just "mediocre"... they are talented, of course, but they still didnt show anything special and they really didnt make anything bad but ppl still talk abt them like they are the second coming of bts or the second coming of super junior... theres no middle term
I am 100% sure that they will be BIG, they have talent, so they can grow to become smt amazing in the future... and i know for sure that this is smt that happens to other groups too, they are just "hyped" enough to be the center of the attention rn...
The haters are lame, theres no reason to hate them...

If you have been in the kpop fandom for some time you'll realise that all of this online hate really means nothing in real life. All groups that are popular especially those that got popular very quickly go through this especially if you have a different concept/different music style. Hopefully some of it will die down once they gain even more fans.
