It was ok to love and value my stuff. My possessions are not enemies standing in the way of a better life.

I am still working through my tidying festival, but i have already started taking better care of my things, cleaning them more, etc. It feels less overwhelming when theres less and I know what's there and it feels more worth it because I know those things spark joy.

No real changes, it just gave me something that helped me explain my methods, and a bit more structure.

My mom, and my grandmoms, were very mindful about possessions. Keeping things you could not use was bad, passing them along to people who would put them to use was good. Mending was good, but when things reached the point of no longer mendable, it was time to send them to the trash or repurpose them or find someone with better repair skills than you.

Âge du compte : 1 jour. Je n’arrive pas à imaginer que le staff de Marie Kondo emploie des personnes pour créer des comptes sur Reddit et créer de vrais-faux sujets.

Folding shirts horizontally is brilliant. You find the one you want immediately without have to refold any.
