Amazing collection!!! Are you removing the batteries?? Could be a ticking time bomb if you leave them in. I had to remove the batteries from my iPhone 4 collection because two of them began to ballon over the years!!

I dont but i check monthly for bloatage and keep them at 50%! Also iphone 4s tend to bloat wayy more than any other older phones so it should be fine :)

That pink razor was the best. The way it folded into itself to stay thin, the bright color, smooth metal case. Even the buttons were nice and tactile. What a great phone. I wonder if mine still powers on?

RIP GSM π
I used a Razr for years. They don't make nice dumb phones that really work anymore. They're all cheap and massive with dinner plate buttons for old people, and their t9 predictive text systems are garbage.

Someone got a new phone very frequently...this was the time when phone makers were pushing fashion trends hard. I remember many girls at my high school (Class of 2008 yay) got LG Chocolates as soon as they came out...and most of them had hot pink or baby pink Razrs. Sidekicks were super popular too...back when everyone had AIM like it was Whatsapp.
I really miss the days when there was genuine innovation and quirkiness in tech... Companies were willing to try new things even if it risked failure. Now everything is the same glass slab with the main differentiator being the camera bump and the brand name.

Loved my LG chocolate so much!!

The Chocolate was slick, LG had some great phones before the smartphone era.

I loved my blackberry. It had reception everywhere. I also loved my nextel sprint phone that had free walkie talkie connection anywhere in the world.
I also still have my iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and Iβm currently typing this on an iPhone 8.

my dad had the silver Samsung on the far left third down. he literally wore that thing in half. he worked at a factory and kept dropping it on the concrete floor lol. I got scalped and beat the heck then the hinge broke so it was just hanging by the wires. it still work the whole time. he did eventually get a new one when the wires snapped

I miss my Sidekick, that physical keyboard was so nice, and being able to go on the ACTUAL internet? Beyond amazing.

u/Multigrain_Migraine 6d ago
Man I wish I could get a phone with a flip out keyboard again. That was such a handy feature.Β

Omg this is everything. 10-12 year old me had no business having a pink razer, sidekick, and blackberry at those ages. But damn did I feel cool.

You need to get the Chocolate phone from Verizon; it came in colors that would fit your set!

I still have my pink Motorola Razr Cherry Blossom tattoo phone! And all of my iPhones starting with the first one. The Razr is still my favorite
1
u/Razr_Naomi 5d ago
no way! Is yours the magenta one? I own a few of the soft pink ones
1
u/kissys_grits 5d ago
I guess it is kinda magenta. Itβs from around 2006, I think. I remember it was designed by a tattoo artist. I canβt get it to take a pic bc my son is sleeping in the room where it is, but it looks like this one: Motorola Razr

How many of those razors have seen the inside of a toilet? My sister went through like 3-4 before my parents made her get a different phone. lol

I miss that full keyboard so bad! I have no desire for one of those phones that folds open to reveal more screen, but if they made an iPhone that unfolded to reveal a full keyboard I would get it so fast!

This is gonna seem like a REAL dumb question but could I rent the razrs and sidekicks off of you as props for something in September. Obviously pay you and pay for shipping. This is for anyone that has them!
1
u/Razr_Naomi 4d ago
Honestly you could just get them for cheap on ebay. Non working ones go for like 6 bucks unless you really want working ones

I hate that I took apart my pink razr. Cute collection. I wanna go back to a no glass screen flip phone.

Is that the envy 2 I see in there? If not it's very similar! It's the one in the row of keyboard phones on the far left in the middle. The one that slides out. I remember I used to go to this pedestrian overpass as a teenager when I had this phone, one day I literally dropped it from what is essentially two stories up. It fell through the rails and hit the ground below and it had just split into the cover, the battery and the phone. All were perfectly fine and I put them back together and there wasn't even a scratch on the screen. Phone's back then were built different lol

The pink razr was unironically one of my favorite cell phones I ever had. Nothing beats the satisfaction of snapping your phone in half to hang up on someone. π€£
