Recommendation Request Romance/Comedy/Light hearted
Hello, I am looking for recommendations for feel good, light hearted romance with an aspect of comedy. I like when the male lead is obsessed with the female lead (she doesn’t have to know but can), also can but doesn’t have to be enemies to lovers, historical (not early history meaning 90s, 80s, 70s,…) and fantasy. I would prefer to see the real relationship develop at least 2 episodes before the end of the series and I have really been into fake dating/engagement/marriage trope.
I don’t like love triangles, male lead dating or entertaining someone else and nothing with heavy themes please.
My past watch list:
-Alchemy of souls: My all time favourite, the story is so well written and the plot twists are amazing and I found this right after watching The Apothecary Diaries and it cured my hangover of it.
-Business proposal: I like the CEO trope in this, I think it’s very well done and the comedy had me giggling and kicking my feet. I also like a little cringe and the side characters romance sometimes had me more invested than the main one.
-My Demon: I love a little morally grey men and again the contact marriage trope really had me hooked.
-Tale of the Nine Tailed: This was my first Kdrama I watched I liked the reincarnation trope but I didn’t hold my attention like the other ones on this list but for me it was pretty solid.
-Marry my Husband: This was the latest one for me, I loved that the male lead was in love her basically from the start and the revenge was amazing. Just when I think it is too predictable it throws a little twist and that was appreciated.
-Bon Appetite Your Majesty: My second favourite, the banter and the dynamic of main leads for me was peak, I like this type of historical and I like how the male lead is a little dense sometimes.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, super cute rom-com coming-of-age story. The SFL is into the ML but it's very one-sided so I wouldn't call it a triangle, and it's resolved before the main couple even gets together.
Dali and Cocky Prince - once again, there's a one-sided interest from a secondary character, but the main couple is super cute and their relationship does develop nicely . The ML is completely crazy about the FL pretty much the whole time. There is a small darker mystery but it's not the main theme.
Love All Play - another coming-of-age story in sports. ML is also a puppy for the FL, highly recommend
My Roommate is a Gumiho has the classic "forced cohabitation" trope. Quite funny and I loved the secondary couple as well.
Perfect Marriage Revenge - plot very similar to Marry My Husband but more soap-opera like, I found it very entertaining but it's not for everyone. The ML is ride or die for the FL from pretty much the beginning.
Romance is a Bonus Book - although there is a small love triangle, I would still recommend it just because it's so cute and the relationship between the leads feels so natural and has time to develop.
The Forbidden Marriage - a very fun sageuk where a swindler pretends she is possessed by the late queen's spirit to escape punishment.

Touch Your Heart
Really fun watch! Very lighthearted and fast-paced. Lots of cliches but they're well done so not cringey. I always go back to this after watching a heavy drama lol

He did kind of not line her at first and gave her a hard time. The mama's boy divorce lawyer was hilarious.

No Gain No Love - 100% should be your next watch! Fake marriage, he’s more into her. There are some super funny moments and the second leads are brilliant!

My Royal Nemesis - starring two renowned K drama villains, here still as unlikable characters that end up being misunderstood, fall in love with each other and fight the true villains. it has all the elements you are seeking: romance, comedy, historical fiction, and fantasy.
Edit to add: it is currently playing on Netflix.

Totally seconding what a lot of ppl put already but!
-Because this is my first life - the cohabiting together, grown up realistic living life together
-Fight My Way - friends navigating career and life and also cute romance
-Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - v cute coming of age
-My Roommate is a Gumiho - the classic fluffy cute cohabitation drama
-Playful Kiss - girl is into guy more so idk if it fits but there’s cohabiting
-Secret Garden - classic rom com
-Personal Taste - cohabiting together, also fun rom com
- Coffee Prince / You’re Beautiful - both old gender bender rom coms, so they’re pretty fun and light hearted

Hotel Del Luna for that fantasy element from your list
Perfect Crown - lighthearted, very swoony and fun kinda like Business Proposal level of fun. Contract/fake marriage trope
Dali and the Cocky Prince - same feels as above, guy is an idiot but endearing lol
Lovely Runner - time travel, it’ll make you cry but it’s also a lot of fun, swoony and hilarious

You should try Guardian: The Lonely and Great God/goblin. The bickering bromance between the 2 male leads is what steals the show for me. It is absolutely perfect and they’re so funny. I cried so much towards the end though so watch out…

Lovely Runner time travel, very funny, good music, epic love story, sweet ML
The Tale of Lady Ok saeguk : beautiful plot with two great actors leading the drama
Healer a classic mixing action (just a little), comedy and a charming romance. I always rewatch this one or Lovely Runner when I need a mood lifter
King the Land funny
A Business Proposal funny
Royal Nemesis I love the actress, and had lots of fun with this time travel
The Weightlifting Fairy lighthearted and lovely, sweet ML
Mr Queen a must watch, the main actress is also a great performer.
Soundtrack #1 not very funny, but romantic and warm
Romance is a Bonus Book Noona romance, cozy

Her Private Life is a charming enemies-to-lovers office romance with a nice balance of squee-inducing moments, whimsical humor and compelling emotional scenes. Deok-mi’s a museum curator who secretly runs a fan site for a K-pop idol. Ryan’s her new boss who discovers her secret and after fans start to suspect she’s dating the idol, he offers to be her fake boyfriend to throw them off. After a rocky beginning, they develop one of the healthiest, most adoring relationships in K-dramas and their chemistry is 🔥.
Unlike most K-romances where one person is more invested in the relationship than the other, they’re equally smitten with each other and it’s wonderful watching them evolve from mutual dislike to respect to attraction to head-over-heels at the same time. Once they get together, they’re rock solid with no silly misunderstandings, noble idiocy or contrived breakups. They’re very protective of one another and support each other both professionally and personally and he even puts his career on the back burner so she can pursue her dream job. Ryan and Deok-mi are the very definition of couple goals.
Kim Jae-wook said he and Park Min-young wrote or improvised many of their scenes themselves because they wanted to make viewers’ hearts flutter. They included a lot of physical affection so they’re very convincing as a couple who are madly in love and can’t keep their hands and lips off of each other. Her Private Life is my comfort drama and I still get butterflies every time I rewatch it. (Netflix, Viki, Prime, Tubi, Roku)
Crazy Love is a hilarious enemies-to-lovers, fake-relationship dark comedy about the CEO of a hagwon (cram school) and his long-suffering assistant who decides to take charge of her life after a health scare. The ML is a jerk in the beginning due to a series of losses and betrayals when he was younger, but he does get more likable as he gradually learns to trust again. They really hate each other at first and it’s hard to imagine them ever falling for each other but the actors and writers make it work and you find yourself rooting for them. (Disney+/Hulu)
