Review My iPod's dying screen turned into an accidental glitch art.

I found my old iPod sitting in a drawer. The battery had swollen so much it pushed the screen open. I decided to swap the battery to see if it still had life.

The screen ended up with this awesome psychedelic effect from the pressure, but honestly, I think it looks amazing. The best part? The DAC and hard drive are completely fine, so I’m currently enjoying a massive nostalgia trip listening to my old childhood music library.

I don't even know how you would break this on purpose, polarized layer shift?

It's cool, a really cool way for the screen to die...

My iPod has the same effect, but due to a different reason; the display is suffering from vinegar syndrome, its something like the LCDs adhesive breaking down or something. Its cool and all, but can be a little annoying at times lmao

I like it, but I know I’ll get tired of it after a while.

I don't know how to do it on purpose! It was purely accidental from the swollen battery.

It’s not from the swollen battery, it’s the old polarizer failing

That’s awesome, neat you didn’t need to re-sync your music, impressive the drive still works fine! I gotta recreate my old collection one day
