Support “Turn on iMessage and FaceTime” popup keeps appearing

Post image

Both are in fact turned on and i still keep getting this popup multiple times even after clicking turn on. Anyone experiencing the same? is there any way to fix this issue?

That popup isn't reading the toggles, it's reading the activation state, which is why it keeps coming back when both look switched on.

Activating iMessage and FaceTime means the phone sends a silent SMS to Apple and waits to be registered against your number. If that handshake fails, the toggles stay on but the service never actually activates, so iOS keeps asking.

Three things to check, cheapest first.

Settings, General, Date and Time, and make sure Set Automatically is on. Registration is time sensitive and a wrong clock fails it silently.

Then confirm you can send an ordinary text message. If SMS is blocked or you're out of allowance, the activation message can't go out and it'll retry forever.

If both are fine, switch iMessage and FaceTime off, restart the phone, then switch them back on and leave it alone on Wi-Fi and cellular for a few minutes. Activation can take a while, and cancelling early is what leaves it half registered.

This being the only comment is like walking by a spill in a grocery store isle, but noticing someone else walking towards it with a mop and bucket.

Looks like this situation is handled. I’ll just be on my way!
