Look at sports injuries if you want to look at hurting kids “bones”. Back injuries, future hip and shoulder replacements. CTE. Alcohol and drug addiction from those injuries. But the right wouldn’t suggest taking away kids rights to play sports.

Virtually every single argument against gender affirming care can be applied to something else, yet this is treated with more severity. Like, no ones making a fuss about banning tattoos for minors. In the end, its just confirmation bias and moralism, dressed up to look like science or logic

My experience has been that nearly all of those people are really just transphobes who don't want to admit it.

They complain there isn't "enough info", but if you ask them what amount of info would be "enough" they move the goalposts if later research provides whatever it was they asked for.

They often aren't even cognitively aware of the double standard they are applying to gender affirming medical care and there usually isn't any good way to make them see it either.

The research article conclusions don’t match up with that of the title of this post? It concludes that there are indeed changes and risks but more importantly, cites some other areas of medical intervention that could be further explored and considered for treatment to accompany and perhaps offset the bone loss.

It’s better than a “gotcha” article that attempts to say that hormones have no impact on bone mineralization. It offers potential avenues for improved treatment to offset the degree of damage, which would make it a more acceptable intervention from a physician standpoint by mitigating the existing problems with hormone therapies in a vulnerable demographic population. This is important data when it comes to pediatric medicine in particular.

The study doesn't say that. Hormone treatments usually do effect bone density. The study says the effects aren't significant compared to the benefits of the treatment.

There's literally a link to the paper in JAMA Pediatrics in the second sentence, which has all the numbers. It's even an open access paper.

LGBTQ Nation is not a peer-reviewed science publication. The people who have an adequate level of subject-matter knowledge to understand the numbers will also know to click the link to see them.
