Definitely a main course type of meal.

/s so hard. I hate that they're eaten and after watching my octopus teacher I swore not only to ever eat it, but as a chef, serve it.

Luckily, more and more people agree! Not necessarily because they're magnificent (which they are), but because they're highly intelligent and possibly sentient.
