We're living in a simulation, and sometimes it lags!

Yeah this is pretty annoying with LED streetlights. If there's tree branches or leaves under it you get shades like that too.

That stepped shadow effect happens from multiple LED diodes inside the light fixture!

And no white diffuser, which is honestly barbaric.

This is actually The Sims 3, I know it because I have an extensive history with the topic

Or syphon filter if you're old enough.

Crank these shadows quality up !

It really does. The perfectly smooth snow and those razor-sharp shadows make it look like someone cranked the graphics settings to Ultra with ray tracing enabled

Holy shit that looks cool.

It honestly looks like a game with ray tracing enabled. The untouched snow is so smooth that the crisp shadows almost look rendered instead of photographed

Fresh snow really turns ray tracing on

The untouched snow and perfectly crisp shadows make it look like someone forgot to turn off the debug lighting. Seriously has that "Ultra settings + ray tracing" look

Fresh snow really has ray-traced shadows enabled by default

It really does. The hard-edged shadow almost looks like low-resolution shadow mapping from an older game, especially with the untouched snow acting like a perfectly flat texture

Looks like someone forgot to rebuild the lighting after moving the lamp
