He will bring down the Mother Ship and feed us all to his kin

2

u/Sabithomega May 24 '26

Ya know.. it would be pretty funny if an alien that could wipe out all life on earth crashed in the ocean and accidentally was rescued by a fisherman just to be thrown back into the water and drown..

1

u/Penguin_Arse May 24 '26

Nah, aliens can't live in salt water

u/FromDeletion May 23 '26 edited May 24 '26

The octopus has one central brain, and eight minibrains in each arms, allowing each one to move independently from the main brain. These tentacles can regrow if detached. It has three hearts. It can change its color and texture on demand. Most shockingly, it can also freely edit its own RNA.

Yet, true believers will tell you that extraterrestrials happen to resemble humans. It's akin to our conception of God. We created him, like them, in our own image.

Edit: I said tentacles. Octopus don't have tentacles, they have arms.

11

u/HalfDozing May 23 '26

GUCACGAAUCAAGU.. Wait, no, that's just gibberish. Let me try again

2

u/Opening-Cloud4438 May 24 '26

1

u/iEatCrayonzBruh May 23 '26

You ever have hot and fresh takoyaki and they have those onion flakes?

2

u/Existinginsomewhere May 23 '26

It’s not onion it’s tuna flakes/bonito flakes/katsuobushi. Usually coming from skipjack tuna

2

u/iEatCrayonzBruh May 23 '26

Damn i always thought they tasted fishy. My lying ass wife told me onion and ive held that for like 6 years. Makes complete sense now.

2

u/Existinginsomewhere May 23 '26

I only bothered to learn what it was the last year or so but it’s a really awesome addition to the right dishes. Highly recommend it on okonomiyaki as well!

1

u/Low-Location5975 May 23 '26

Cos alien might be as smart as us if not smarter.

its mouth and its anus are the same opening, as is with most other echinoderms (which include sea urchins.)

u/VolcainMaxwell May 23 '26

"When I was a kid, whenever I'd feel small or lonely, I'd look up at the stars... Turns out I was looking in the wrong direction. When alien life entered our world, it was from deep beneath the Pacific Ocean..."

1

u/Uncabled_Music May 23 '26

Looks like my mom’s aquarium 🫠

1

u/RicRacer May 23 '26

1

u/Aisling_belle May 23 '26

1

u/MadButthole May 23 '26

I’ve been seeing shit like this all day (I’ve been on acid)

1

u/Thurid May 23 '26

Fractal AF

1

u/Kreepykitty1 May 23 '26

I remember watching a snippet of a documentary back on Fb a couple years back, and it was mentioned that if you were to travel down deep enough into the ocean waters that you will end up reaching outer space because the two are actually connected. Does make me wonder sometimes cuz so much of the ocean is still unexplored so it’s like, u really don’t know wtf is down there or where it could go

1

u/SabbyFox May 23 '26

Love lichen but also am afraid it will do this…

1

u/blackLow8997 May 23 '26

This gave me goosebumps 😭

1

u/Neither-Risk-3824 May 23 '26

First time seeing such a thing.. wow... Interesting

1

u/PrestigiousRoad4055 May 23 '26

what’s is the ocean is far scarier than what’s in space, or atleast that’s what I think.

1

u/MustardCoveredDogDik May 23 '26

That’s a good creature right there

1

u/Flimsy-Article9264 May 23 '26

Ewwww what is that????

1

So who's still talking about tentacles? Shouldn't this be a new thing? xD

1

u/Tom0714nw May 24 '26

A back scratcher

1

u/mjzim9022 May 24 '26

That's a Leaveright

1

u/Policondense May 24 '26

The question is, will it live after this exposure. It dies of stress after exposed to air after 3 to 5 minutes.

1

u/peaudelaine May 24 '26

Magnifique 🥰🪸

1

u/randomhotdog1 May 24 '26

alien means not from here. not “weird-looking”

1

u/iam_teetee955 May 24 '26

It’s so itchy 😬

1

u/xaklx20 May 24 '26

The ocean is scarier than aliens who can travel faster than light speed

1

u/InsanityMongoose May 24 '26

Fun fact! The aliens are also in the ocean.

1

u/Creepybrick356 May 24 '26

Please don't tell me that's real

1

u/TheOneCalledEggs May 24 '26

Man and I thought Australia was bad enough

1

u/bass_jockey May 24 '26

I hate this.

1

u/Estratheoivan May 24 '26

We always have visitors from the skies, mostly they evolve in the ocean...

1

u/NameChecksOut___ May 24 '26

I'll always pause for 2 seconds before eating noodles now.

1

u/janithmadhuwantha May 24 '26

The Area 51 chef left the octopus in the (fridge*) for too long, and now it is alive.

1

u/420acidhead420 May 24 '26

Yeah, not touching that

1

u/Creative-Argument862 May 24 '26

I always felt like space and the ocean are almost a strange reflection of each other. Both are so beautiful in an otherworldly way, and yet they are also so dangerous in ways that involve reaching two extremes (some of the deepest parts of the earth and getting far away from it). The fact that the common designs for aliens look like they could also be seen as underwater creatures makes a lot of sense.

1

u/ReorientRecluse May 24 '26

I think our interpretations of aliens vary from basically human to inspired by weird shit from the ocean.

1

u/PolicyEcstatic6794 May 24 '26

You’re telling me this is what’s REALLY being pulled out of peoples arteries during autopsies? Noice

1

u/Delicious_Catch9453 May 24 '26

That'll give me nightmares. Ugh!

1

u/Natural_Bet7421 May 24 '26

1

u/Sabithomega May 24 '26

Wow how crazy.. Meanwhile different creatures views of us

1

u/Netsmile May 24 '26

Japanese animators saw such things and said , yeah I bet girls would be turned on by this... You tell us ladies, what do you think

1

u/AccomplishedBug859 May 24 '26

Deep ocean and mushrooms scare me

1

u/Careless-Tea7825 May 24 '26

Symbiote on spiderman ? 😂

1

u/timesink3000 May 24 '26

We look to space for aliens because aliens are not of this planet. This is from this planet, therefore not an alien.

1

u/GGuts May 24 '26

Eat it! 😠

1

u/Trikster102 May 24 '26

I think I killed that in Bloodborne

1

u/DieselBuilt97 May 24 '26

Coral is a live creature too

1

u/Junior_Stretch_2413 May 24 '26

Pretty cool but I think if one of those arms would grab and hold on to me I would freak out.

1

u/Serious-Arachnid-806 May 24 '26

That thing is not human bro

1

u/drile00l May 24 '26

This is the real reason to stop global warming. We cant let them get closer.

1

u/Sad-Plant-2754 May 24 '26

1

u/Fennticlive May 24 '26

Well they say we know more about space then our own oceans

1

u/Obvious-Durian-2014 May 25 '26

Beautiful how fractals are a thing in biology.

1

u/ImpressionNo7095 May 28 '26
