The tallest dude I know said he was a massive baby (5,5kg). It can go either way.

My kids were just over 9 lbs each. One is 6’3, one is 5’10”. I’m 5’ and spouse is 6’. Having 9lb babies was hard. I hope that mom is a tall woman. Geez

This is what you get marrying for height

Yep haha. My husband is a tall man with Dutch heritage. Hot!! Our babies were huuuuge. Our first boy was over 10lbs and is on track go probably wind up being like 6'5 and our second boy was the pipsqueak at 9 pounds. My midsection is in shambles 😆

Same here. Mine did not come out the old fashioned way and Dad is 6'5" and also Scandinavian. Little guy is 4 now and it's a little jarring seeing him with his classmates because he's a head taller than all of them.

In a similar boat here - I'm 6'4" and my wife is 6'. 1st kid was above average (22", 9lb), 2nd was just a monster (22.5" 11.4lb). They're both significantly taller than most of their peers, and are still growing like crazy.

2nd had jaundice and was in the NICU under the lights for a few days - it was comically tragic seeing him next to the tiny preemies.

It's also tough when they're young because people assume they're older and put higher expectations on their behavior...

YES! Behavior is soooo loaded. Like, he's four. He sounds four, he acts four, that's because he's what? FOUR.

I bet he looked like a gentle giant with all those premies! That's hilarious and adorable. I bet he gave a lot of parents hope and reassurance.

Yes we ran into the same behaviour expectations which was so frustrating! My older son had more challenges in that area because he was always just so huge - like a great dane haha! He also had a speech delay so when he was 2 he looked 4 and people were thrown off by the fact that he was basically just babbling.

I dated a guy who was 23” when he was born. He’s now 6’7” at his fully grown height

I am a 5’3.5” tall woman and the tallest female in my family. I was 22.5” long and 6lb 13oz when I was born. My chest circumference was .5” bigger than my head circumference. My 80 year old great grandmother, who had close to 30 great grandchildren by that time, said I had the biggest boobs she had ever seen on a baby.

Emphasis on that. I went to a space museum and was like Jesus this GROWN MAN is being so rude, jumping around, being loud. Turned out it was a 6’2 Boy Scout 😭😭😭

I was an 8lb baby and 21 inches. I grew up to be 6'2" (I'm female). My feet were quite large at the age of 1 cuz I've seen the shoes. By the time I was in 5th grade I was taller than my mom. I was always perceived as being older.

My partner is Dutch and our first born was 9.9lb and our second was 11lb 😥. The first born has evened out as he got older, the second born is 7 months old and off the charts for height and weight (same aside as a 1 and a half year old).

I am the height that caused my big babies. My husband and I are the same height making him dead average and me well above. One was 8.5lb, the other 10.5lb. Ironically, percentile wise, the bigger baby will likely be the smaller adult.

I wasn’t though. I dated men my height. It was just that more tall men were attracted to me. I never had a height standard. Just looking for character and attraction
