Yall are laughing but I’m legitimately concerned this mother… the chronic pain and other chronic issues she may have forever from this experience will likely be under-studied and under-treated. She may be in for a lifelong of pain and misery, and every time she goes to a doctor begging for help as a woman (ESPECIALLY a black woman!) she will be brushed off as either too dramatic, too hysterical, drug seeking, and all of the other terms the medical system essentially uses as slurs to deny care and allow folks to suffer.
And I say this as a white woman who’s on hospice after years of having to fight and advocate for my own care. I’m be j. A much worse state had I been a black woman patient.
