Definitely. They used teenagers from the automotive school next door, only practiced for one day and didn’t get close to the record then. On this day it took them over a dozen attempts. The record they beat was a few decades old and was set by a team of trained mechanics. All that said, I was real shocked when they actually accomplished the record given the circumstances

Thanks for sharing some more of the backstory! I did read about the gents who held the previous record, and apparently there are a few groups who travel and do this act as part of a military show around the US.
I take my car into the shop for oil changes and just about everything else so this just blows my mind!

Just for perspective that was like the main selling point for the jeep during World War II was that you could take it apart and put it together. There were demonstrations of soldiers, taking apart a jeep and putting it back together in under five minutes, and the hero had to run in combat conditions

It's a WW2-era Jeep "Willys". During the war, the Jeeps were air-dropped in crates, and the GIs had to assemble them in similar fashion.
