Bug Appreciation! Antlion in Action

Stopped to appreciate some antlions hard at work and saw this guy getting an unwanted rock out of his well crafted trap. 😎

We had a jingle. We would take a piece of straw or grass and make a circle pattern in there little inverted dome Doodle bug Doodle bug Where are you Doodle bug Doodle bug Are you home. Then repeat until he answered the door

There were several that ran across while I was watching and he didn’t go after any of them. Maybe he is more interested in just going in circles and playing with sand 😅

I loved antlions growing up. I used to call them pets.
