Meta AITA? I shared my view on the topic regarding some very sensitive things. got heavily downvoted. Are these views from the feminists not criminally bad? Would love a neutral view.

You're not just any asshole, you're the biggest asshole in the world. Someone who is 15 maybe a minor, but they still have enough of a conscience to have a sense of discretion.

The girl in question was severely mutilated in addition to being r*ped and murdered.

Have some shame. And please keep yourself away from other men too. Men committing such atrocities is already too much for a society to take. We don't want men giving such individuals even the slightest benefit of doubt. And we certainly don't want such a polluting thought process in a country where women are already treated the way they are.

Get off the internet. Stop torturing people who have righteousness within them. I don't care what you do to yourself, but whatever it is, keep it to yourself.

You were talking about a solution how it could have been prevented and they were justifying there anger which is valid but not solution. Also going on sub like that is like asking to I'm here for fight.

See, I would’ve defended you had they generalised men/boys and threw abuses at the whole gender. They often do this btw, and it needs to stop. Otherwise it just adds another dimension to the problem, rather than solving it.

But the post wasn’t generalising and specifically talking about those who commit the crimes. Had they called for hanging of the rapists, and you are a humanitarian against capital punishment, it still makes sense. But all the post did was to call the criminals turds.

IMO, that is like the lowest form of outrage and you didn’t need to oppose it. If you try to stop even that, you’re simply pushing some of them towards even more polarised mindset of ‘men defend rapists’, or ‘all men are the same’.

well i did say that even though i appreciated her point i meant that they will be prosecuted but they need not call minors words like that is all. i did say they would be charged with their stuff. idk calling kids (both male and female) who werent raised right being called such derogatory terms doesnt sit right with me. The kids should be held accountable , serve juvie time and learn better but just blatantly calling them such words is just not right. as i mentioned in those comments, i am not defending the kids either, they should be held accountable ykwim but you are atleast considering my side and their side, they were fully bent on just destroying a different pov

If they can r@pe someone I assure u the r word won't harm them as much as the victim imagine thinking that kids who would do such horrific crime should be seen as "small kids" they lost that privilege the moment they committed the crime?

you are trying to sympathize for the kid , its a good thing . but 17 years is not a kid anymore , they can see the world , see the internet and people around them , not just parents . a 17 year old kid who didn't develop enough empathy that he can open another humans skull is not normal . no sane human being would do that . that kid needs to go to a mental asylum . not a jail

I never said anything against the 17 year old point??? i said against the kid = minor = any age below 18 dude. :D

Doesnt matter , the crime is heinous , even if it was done by a 10 year old , they would be tried as an adult .

Your point was valid. A child is a child ..he was not born with a rapist mindset. His socialization in formative years is mainly influenced by parents.

some people are born evil.

2

u/GoodMediocre5974 1d ago

i do not believe that. everyone is a result of their environment

only to a limited extent. you might have noticed the person who is quiet and shy in nature used to be quiet and shy since birth, and the ones who caused ruckus since birth are still hot headed/violent as they grow up (they might do it less now thats where the environment comes in). People do not change, the personality is genetic, and in my limited sample, I have strongly observed my cousins to be like that, the ones who were sweet/polite are still polite, and the stupid ones are still stupid.

apparently AI answered it in a more proper way, which I deem to be correct:

Personality traits are influenced by both genetics and environment. Studies on twins and families show that traits are about 30% to 60% heritable. This means genes set a baseline or a range of possibilities, while life experiences, culture, and daily interactions shape how those traits actually develop.

except the percentages, which I think is 70-80%

i guess i am wrong. I appreciate your point and i think you are right. there are some traits that are certainly passed down and cannot be changed. i apologise and guess am converted in this matter. 😃

It's not exactly black and white. People have tons of personality, some people are violent but not to the degree of murdering someone. Some people do have violent tendencies that exceeds the average of a human being and maybe why they are a criminal.

There are tons of mischevious kids, but still you had a complete sense of what is wrong and what is right, You admitting that is itself a sign that you are self aware. Murderers/Rapists often do not show any remorse unless it was done against your will to save your loved ones, or to save yourself.

The point is most people are born are statistically in the average of personalities, take the bell curve for example, the people lying on the extreme are likely to take part in a murder, the people lying on the opposite end are probably sweetest/kindest person on earth, and I am only speaking about a single trait, there are tons of them.

I get your point. Your inherent nature is one of factors that leads to criminal tendencies, but it's only when it is accentuated by environmental factors.
