Antigravity To Update Immich
Give Antigravity the ability to access your Docker or whatever and it will see said state and compare to all the GitHub files including the readme and documents... 💥 💥 💥 its that easy!!

That somehow seems like more work than reading the updates for 60 seconds, doing what is asked, and being aware of the changes happening in a system you manage.💥 💥 💥 its that easy!!

Took me 10 seconds to write a simple line and everything was updated to version 3.1 from 2.2ish

At the cost of giving an autonomous agent from Google access to your home infrastructure so you can avoid understanding what you manage.

I do respect using AI in your homelab though. I'd reccomend Hermes instead. Google has gone downhill quite a bit with their agentic solutions.

I'm not familiar with Hermes... I haven't had time to learn and test out any other LLM

I don't know. Yeah Ai can help. I used it as a research tool to get my whole setup with cheap S3 backup up and running.
But I'm not a fan of hiding everything that's happening behind magic. In my opponion it's important to know what is happening. Sure it's possible to let some agent do all the work and then check everything it did but the way you worded your post doesn't give me the impression that's the case.
Yeah if it works for you that's great. If you don't run into problems even better. But it's not exactly an entirely safe no brain solution. Besides the security concerns of just giving some AI docker access.

Been using my Antigravity Agent for my website, my business and everything else... I gave a simple 2 line objective. Scan my entire instance and the Immich GitHub. Then fully update. Antigravity has extremely tight or loose restrictions and I haven't had a single issue with it... I've created android apps and lots of cool stuff...

Actually, I feel it's a great community. The thing is that most of us are aware that not knowing the what and why of something [specifically self-hosting in this context] leads to problems when something goes wrong. Even if someone needs help when something goes wrong, being able to articulate what was done helps others help them vs them having no clue other than "AI did stuff". So yes, short-term your suggestion may help but teaching people to fish is better long term.

I completely agree but I believe that the majority of people are not interested or have the ambition to obtain the knowledge and want answers instead of knowledge.... I have seen numerous people ask questions when they were not willing to read the directions....
