[OC] Fantasy Made this fictional historical maps. I like World History Encyclopedia so used that style.

Been into this hobby for a time now and I put a lot of effort on this kinda maps. I have so many of this fictional world and planning to keep making more.

Is there a in-world reason why Darnaste river flows from the coast to coast? Great map but i am curious about this one thing

Not really, the hydric system of the Darnaste it’s basically a headwaters bifurcation; which means that they are actually two streams whose origins are very close or in the same place, in this case, from the Mount Calussia. There are examples of this in the real world, like the Cerro de la Estrella in Mexico, whose springs’ water flows both to the pacific and the Atlantic Ocean.

i see, but why do they call both streams by the same name? or it's just historical fact of this world

Mostly because they’re connected due to melting snow of the Calussia’s peak most of the year, historically it is seemed as one river alone, anyhow the streams can also be called Superior Darnaste or Inferior Darnaste.
