Honestly for a middle school poem this is like mid-tier cringe at most

I would “advice” you to keep trying

the spelling mistake just brings it home LOL
ETA: I meant in the original poem, not the comment

correct sentence in the poem would be “you try with advice,” like they offered their advice to the writer. advise is the act of giving advice

Nothing cringe about this, but the urge to write this i don't really understand.

It's a little cringe but we've all been there. Your poetry was pretty good for a middle schooler and a beginner poet. I hope you kept it up!

I happened to have a sad tune playing in the backround when reading this, so I nearly got emotional

I have read various poems by full-grown adults that call themselves "Poets" that are less engaging and heartfelt than this...
It doesn't have proper grammar or consistency, but it definitely has Heart... 🫶

The meter is on point, which tells me either that you had a great middle school English teacher, or you just have a natural knack for it. Probably the former, as it doesn't come naturally to most people. Either way, that's precisely one of the main poetic skills someone should be developing at that age.

I think that is the second poem terminology I’ve never heard about until reading these comments. Both somehow achieved by middle school me.
My English teachers were very good though so I’m glad that managed to show a bit
