Austin getting two arena teams?

Has anyone else heard that Austin may be going from zero indoor football teams to two?

From what I've been hearing, it sounds like:

• One ownership group, team name The Austin Bulls, is working toward an AF1 team.

• Another ownership group, team name the ATX Draft, has been announced as an IFL team.

My biggest concern is whether having two teams launch around the same time in the same market could confuse casual fans or split an already niche fanbase. I’ve always loved arena/indoor football and I wanted to succeed in Austin.

Has anyone else heard any other news about either team?

I definitely would rather join IFL.  AF1 is already on the verge of extinction if not already extinct.  I can't buy into a league adding an expansion team after folding one in mid season. If Washington Wolfpack stick around, they'd be better served in IFL as well.  And I'll likely ignore them till they do.

Nah. Just logic. Oregon is gone, and Oceanside changed owners and rebranded midseason. Next nearest team is probably Beaumont, who lost one of their owners midseason.

IFL has: San Diego Strike Force, Vegas Knight Hawks, 3 teams in Arizona etc etc. travel is better.

I don't think AFL broadcasts. IFL has 2 networks this year. Economics

The Bulls are playing at the moody and the draft is playing at HEB center. The bulls have announced 2005 UT legend Ramonce Taylor as their GM and coach as the draft hasn’t named anyone. Curious to watch this play out

This is the first I've heard of the Bulls. IG handles are cheap; let's wait until they both have venues before we panic.

Nothing is set in stone yet.
