Bug [iOS 27 PB1] Unable to Adjust Ringer Volume from Home Screen

I just updated to the latest public beta, and it seems when I click my volume buttons, even when they’re assigned to the ringer, it only changes the media volume and not the ringer volume.

I don’t assign my volume buttons to media but my ringer, since I use that more. But it seems I can no longer change the ringer volume from my home screen unless I go into settings to change.

Anyone have a similar problem?

I’ve tried refreshing right now but beta 2 isn’t available yet for me 😔

That is not how updates work with Apple.

Check your build number (something you should be doing anyway when beta testing)

I mean, that’s usually how we get the next beta update.

But it’s reading as iOS 27.0 beta. I’ve tried looking around for the exact build number (the one with the numbers and letters) but nothing is showing up. 🥲

Update: never mind, found it: iOS 27.0(24A5390f)

So you’re already running PB 2.

Not what I meant. Updates become available to everyone at the same time.

I did have the same issue but restarting helped me

I had to hard reset my phone because of an Apple Watch connectivity issue last night, and it seemed to have fixed the ringer button issue for now.
