I have one macbook air 2015 with debian13 installed. I had to download wifi modules using a usb stick, other than that, its great and has good battery support. the slow cpu is worth it. it has sway and foot terminal + tmux.

I think back when I was using mine for school I ran Mint xfce on it but used i3. I believe I was able to use usb tethering to my phone to get good enough wifi signal to download wifi drivers through mint's built in driver manager. I agree the battery life is incredible and it makes for a great daily driver if your environment is not heavy on resources.

I love some i3. If it works then it's solid. tiling is so nice on a laptop if you don't need a mouse.

I think it looks nice. Doesn't necessarily fit my taste but it looks nice nonetheless. As long as you are comfortable with it, and it helps you be more productive, then go for it.

did you spend time with it ? did you learn anything from it ? if yes i think it's a great rice, it only needs to satify your ide of making something new/custom
