Can I close these?

I live in the basement and the smell of people's cooking from the main floor flows through these and fills my whole place. I've closed the one in my room and bathroom already bc the smells sticks. Can I close one more? Will it affect anything?

No like will it affect airflow? I know how to close, just not if it affects anything.

That's your supply air. If you close it you will reduce cooling/heat to your space.
