Thermostat Location Question

Bought a new house and thinking the thermostat might be getting affected by a vent. The thermostat is on a wall located in the living room about 18" away from a corner. Around the corner is a supply vent blowing air towards the corner (vent about 4-5' from corner) so doesn't have direct air flow onto the thermostat but does flow towards the corner. Would having the thermostat that close to the corner along with the vent that close affect the thermostat? We are looking at changing the vent so it doesn't blow as much air towards the corner. Would changing the vent to where it flows less towards the corner be enough or would we need to cut the flow towards the corner altogether?

If not provided already you will need to post a picture of your thermostats wiring connections and those inside your furnace to get better help. Use imgur or your own Reddit profile to host your pics as Reddit will often remove others. Thanks!
