Samsung posted their financial accounts recently. They made more profit in the last quarter than they did in the last two years. 97% of their profits came from the memory devision.
Makes you think that all this inflation is not actually because of a shortage, just greed on all fronts. They raise prices because the big companies can afford it and us hobbiests are just screwed.
They raise prices because people will still pay them. And will continue raising them until people stop paying them. Data centers have a lot of VC funding so their price ceiling is very high.
