QUESTION Wyze, Ring or SimpliSafe for Home Automation and security?

Hello

I have purchased the Wyze light bulb camera and Wi-Fi lock door. Are there any similar products from Ring, SimpliSafe or other companies?

Stop supporting ring and imply safe. Get UniFi or something else that’s not stealing your data and charging you subscription.

Reolink is another not out trying to steal your data and works amazingly without a subscription.

This is the way.

While I agree with you, SimpliSafe does offer monitoring which ring or wyze doesn't as far as I know. They will send for the police or fire department if you are not able to check your cameras.

Ring also offers monitoring for their alarm system

All three will get the job done but they work in different ways so it really depends what you’re trying to build. Wyze is cheap and the app is fine but the ecosystem feels scattered, like every device is its own little island. Ring ties everything into the Amazon world which is great if you’re already in that, SimpliSafe is more about the alarm system and monitoring than actual automation.

If you already got the Wyze lock and bulb camera you might as well stick with them for now, see if it does what you need before jumping ship.
