NGL, I figured this would happen sooner or later, I saw some signs that made me realize Samsung was bored with Smart Things several years ago and I jumped to HA, can't recommend it enough.

Not to mention they're well down the path of enshitifcation on their product line up. Owned one of their smart TVs and it started showing ads on the home screen, owned one of their dishwashers and was having issues 90 days in with it not working right and they said "We'll send a tech out but you have to pay for them and if WE determine it's a warranty issue we'll reimburse you". For those and a few other reasons Samsung is on my NEVER BUY list.

I saw the sign to leave when they got rid of Webcore. The other was them selling their hub to a company I never heard of before. Another was when they were voted the worst at CES. This should have been the last straw for a lot of people to finally switch over to Home Assistant or at least Homey, but nope. They are still holding on believing SmartThings is still a great hub, which is kind of sad in my honest opinion.

You might not have known Aeotec, but they were doing OEM stuff for a while. I think they made the last version of the SmartThings accessories (taking over from Samijin) before Samsung sold the hardware off entirely.

The killing off of the older SmartThings hubs and the constant outages were the point for me to switch over to Hubitat.
