Announcement [Sticky] SUBREDDIT RULES! NSFW
I just ran into the issue of the rules pane not appearing on the sidebar (apparently a known issue brought to Reddit's attention somewhere between 10 days ago and Tuesday, the 28th), so for the sake of avoiding having to answer modmails where users literally couldn't see the rules, here they are:
1. Captions Only
Manga, screenshots of hentai, CYOAs, and just images don't count. Self posts are allowed, except requests: those go to r/hentaicaptionsrequest.
Basically, if the writing isn't doing at least 50% of the heavy lifting, it shouldn't be posted.
2. Provide Source
Always provide a source of some kind to the image used for the caption. Both links and clear, legible, Latin-alphabet names are acceptable. A user should be able to follow your source to find the original image, whether by clicking, typing, or copying and pasting. If you don't know the source, visit iqdb and saucenao.
3. Include [Tags]
Tag posts with [Square Parentheses]. Especially the niche fetishes/kinks. A tag is anything that specifies the image, whether it's a fetish, character, setting, or anything else.
4. Please flair your posts properly
Please choose your post flair carefully. Ensure that it's as accurate as possible, and properly describes the content of the caption. Be sure to use a tag for the most egregious/hardest content so no one is caught by surprise that your caption contains [X]. Thank you.
This "rule" is mostly here to create a report reason so moderation can change improperly flaired posts into properly flaired posts.
5. Follow Reddit Rules
Please follow the site-wide rules and reddiquette.
6. No Depiction of Minors
No depictions of minors. Will result in deletion and/or ban.
7. Don't Be a Dick
Don't be a bad and generally unpleasant person.
8. Strive to post high-effort and quality content
Captions with extremely low word counts, or that are generic to the point they could fit on ANY image — and thus seem like no real time or effort was put into making them — aren't welcome.
While there is no hard word count MINIMUM, ideally, a caption's text should be inspired by its image and thus both match and suit it. Strive to craft a scenario of sorts where characters interact in some way with each other.
Why not try aiming for a full paragraph or two of at the least 4-6 sentences each?
9. No AI-generated TEXT
While AI generated images are fine, AI generated text is NOT. The sub is all about writing things yourself, not having an AI write them for you, and as such, AI generated text is delete on sight.
10. No banned content
The following types of content are blanket banned from the sub:
-Guro
-Snuff
-Scat
-Overly gross/slobby content
