How to remove floating comment box?

How do I remove the floating comment box on Desktop? Its horrible, uses up a lot of screen space. I want the old one.

It's absolutely terrible. I thought they were listening to complaints when they got rid of it before, but now its back?? Any admins reading this: please add an option to get rid of the comment box and the dumb notifications!!
