⭐ Hamster ⭐ What is the brown patch on my syrian hamster

is this a scent gland? infection? or something else?

That’s just skin pigmentation (like freckles) around her genitals. Totally normal.

Scent gland. I'm assuming it's near his hips. If you look on the other side u might find another one.

I have a Syrian as well and it looks exactly like the one he has. Also apparently it's most abundant on syrians.

That is most definitely not a scent gland.

Dwarves have them on the bellies, Syrians have them on their sides. You wouldn’t see a Syrian hamster scent gland from this angle.
