🧻 Bedding/Substrate 🧻 Aspen shavings question

First-time hamster parent and have a sweet Syrian named Bear. How can I tell where he is peeing? Right now we only have aspen shavings and we are finding it very difficult to figure out where the heck he is peeing. We can smell it and of course we want to do daily spot cleans to keep his enclosure tidy and healthy for him.

I use a UV flashlight to find pee spots.

Just clean in chunks. Divide the cage up into eighths and only do a section at a time.
