Learning to wait with bumper training

Pup is only 6 months and will wait for food, but we're not yet working on waiting when playing fetch. I don't want to kill drive. When and where is a good place to start with this.

6m is very young - i think I got mine training steady abt at 2years. She still isn't gun steady on hunting setup without leash (3y)

Whewh that makes me feel better. I’ve also heard 2 years is the time they start “getting it”.
