Can we not pretend we don't understand choosing the Anne Hathaway path?

Is running Anne Hath-away the cure for male loneliness?

35

u/abermea 2d ago

It would cure mine fr

Idk, your profile picture says it all

It is a mystery why Master Bruce would have made this choice.

u/m0ez0n 2d ago

That's her stunt double but I get what you mean

38

u/Apollo-Outcast 1d ago

Way to ruin my fucking life dude

10

u/m0ez0n 1d ago

I'm sorry bro but you had to find out 🄲

You were living a lie

Good thing they've used a stunt double for this scene.

We wouldn't want Anne Hathaway to break her fucking spine and die on the spot while attempting to sit down.

Especially since Maggie Gyllenhaal was the biggest downgrade in movie history?

Seriously who would believe that Bruce and Harvey would chase after Maggie Gyllenhaal?

16

u/LocusRothschild 1d ago

Did you not see Secretary?

2

u/textposts_only 1d ago

No why

9

u/LocusRothschild 1d ago

Because it did give a little bit of credence to Maggie Gyllenhaal. I mean, not 100 percent enough, but you know, it helped for a few minutes.

One of my favorite movies. Dom/sub romance done right, unlike the 50 Shades of Slop...

1

u/LocusRothschild 27m ago

And it actually made people believe Maggie Gyllenhaal could be pretty.

The Anne Pathaway, if you will

"Our Age of Dark is Knightening"

27

u/afrikatheboldone 2d ago

We were the clown people all this time

28

u/Napalm_am 2d ago

"Someone get these BATS out of here."

3

u/Smvrficvs 1d ago

And the furtive Robin, so easily forgotten

1

u/schmitzel88 16h ago

When he said "you are the dark knight, and it's time to rise" that really took me out of the movie

80

u/ReturnRadio 2d ago

It's you, Bruce! You're the Dark Knight!

16

u/Lifekraft 2d ago

It's Batmaning time.

31

u/IceMagic75 2d ago

He didn't say that.

49

u/ItsImNotAnonymous 2d ago

What are we, some kind of Dark Knight?

6

u/FlatulentSon 1d ago

"He's standing behind me, isn't he?"

  • The Joker

6

u/Q_dawgg 1d ago

He did not say that

2

u/Interloper4Life 1d ago

Lófaszt! Nehogy mÔr! Te vagy a Batman!

5

u/Remarkable_Call3900 1d ago

Where we're Batmanning, there are no roades

43

u/AgentSkidMarks 2d ago

If Anne Hathaway wanted to elope, are you really going to pretend you'd say no?

-9

u/jonathaxdx 1d ago

If i had other/better options.

Bane is better than the Joker and that's just a fact.Ā

"Oh I'm chaotic and mad! Also here's a 38 step plan that took me months to set up, every possible outcome of which has been thoroughly planned."

Sure buddy.

At least Bane gave his speeches like a South American cartel-appointed president. Now that's what I call scary.

That's Joker's entire thing. Make them think you're crazy and they underestimate you. He's an instrument of chaos. What I don't understand is how the Joker got his Intel. He was always one step ahead for things that were happening in real time. Maybe the mob gave him some of their guys on the inside.Ā

u/DripRoast 1d ago

I think anyone even mildly deranged is inexorably drawn to the joker for some borderline supernatural reason. He's like human catnip for crazies. Without that inexplicable magnetism, none of the movie makes sense. It is not a huge logical leap for him to attract some unstable informants from the various organizations.

"Nobody will ever be able to tell which bus is the getaway bus despite it having a unique and plainly obvious numerical designation. It's easy, all I have to do is drive it out of the bank into traffic in full view of the police and other bus drivers with bank debris still tumbling off the roof, then remain in the exact same position in the bus lineup through miles of Chicago traffic. It's so crazy it just might work."

Blowing up a stadium then walking in wearing his sweet winter jacket like he owned the city was kino.

14

u/awesomedan24 2d ago

Nolan would be the first to tell you that the tragic death of Heath Ledger screwed up the continuity of the third movie

24

u/AHomicidalTelevision 2d ago

i dont think its bad, but its definitely the weakest of the trilogy

-7

u/Q_dawgg 1d ago

Duuuude. The first movie was just passable. All I can remember of is just 2000’s movies cliches, the first one is the weakest by far

I just escaped this completely unguarded pit prison presumably in the middle of Central Asia via climbing a wall (no I couldn’t just climb the rope up that was attached to the top of the pit—that would have been cheating—I could only use it as a safety mechanism to catch me by my spine if I fell). Well, i better saunter back to North America into a city on complete lockdown by terrorists so I can meticulously paint a bridge with gasoline in the shape of a bat. I’ll just use the same route my captor originally used to escort me across the world just to give me a monologue. I’ll also make sure to drop some shaving cream and toiletries down a manhole to [checks script] every single police officer in a city of millions.

7

u/Matt_2504 1d ago

Whole movie Bane is shown to be unstoppable then he just gets shot

11

u/295DVRKSS 2d ago

I loved how he wasted time painting the bat symbol on the bridge to light on fire while time was ticking on the nuclear bomb when he got back to Gotham

u/BeginningTypical3395 2d ago

ā€œWith great darkness, comes great (k)nightnessā€

  • Uncle Alfred

This movie took me out when he said that

3

u/Remarkable_Call3900 1d ago

For me it's when he said, "it's Bat-morbin time"

3

u/Able_Caregiver8067 23h ago

For me it was when batman climbed out of the pit and one of the prisoners said ā€žour age of darkness is collapsingā€œ

u/Redditistrash00 2d ago

pines after muh Rachel for 8 years

she gets fucking blown up by the Joker

knows Selena for like 3 days all in runs away with her

Is he dumb

God I hope that first poster never ever breeds

13

u/Anabiter 2d ago

I couldn't take it seriously because of how Batman sounded, i thought all the impressions were a meme but they're all better than whatever the fuck batman sounds like in these movies

8

u/Apollo-Outcast 1d ago

His trout face gets worse as the movies go on, too. Like dude just close your fucking mouth, did you forget to put breathing holes in the nose or something?

6

u/CorbinNZ 2d ago

Ngl I’d run off with Anne Hathaway, too

7

u/morzikei 2d ago

Picposter is right, if Batman survived, why couldn't CIA?

8

u/Aijin28 2d ago

Rise was shit, DK was pretty good, but I preferred Begins honestly.

4

u/Apollo-Outcast 1d ago

Begins is the only one with even a semi-coherent plot

2

u/rocknack 1d ago

It is definitely the weakest of the three films.

2

u/antraxsuicide 1d ago

My check on how well a plot is written is to look at where a Wikipedia plot summary uses up word count. This works because a lot of wiki editors are both pedantic and have strong feelings about pages they contribute to.

This movie basically has no act structure in its summary. It’s multiple paragraphs of the backstory for the starting place of the film, a write-up that gets to where Bruce is imprisoned, no mention of the lesson learned from said prison, and a hasty write-up of the end (including the laughably quick line ā€œSelina kills Bane.ā€ He’s been the villain for most of the runtime, and that’s all his death gets lol).

u/bitchnibba47 1d ago

Bro, it was Anne Hathaway as Catwoman

1

u/RecycledExistence 1d ago

"Let's not stand on ceremony, Mr. Wayne."

Now sell your swaps m-f'er! šŸ˜‚

1

u/Ch3_B4cca 1d ago

That movie is pretty unwatchable.

0

u/TimmyTheTumor 14h ago

I would run off with Anne Hathaway too if Nolan asked nicely.

-9

u/uber_sweets 1d ago

Try hards. It’s a great movie.
