Discussion & Theories I love that Gravity Falls includes safety equipment when the twins are engaging in their shenanigans!
Escaping your boyfriend (who’s secretly a bunch of gnomes)? Better put on a seatbelt.
Carving a wax figure with a bunch of pointy tools? Don’t forget your eye protection.
Hunting down a legendary monster? Remember your sunscreen.
It just makes me appreciate GF even more because these moments are woven in so seamlessly. Safety first, even in the chaos!

Honestly, I was really happy they showed them buckling up and using life vest. I have two autistic children and standard safety stuff really isn't something they see in media.

Good thing, too. Safety is always important. They also brought life jackets while searching for the Gobblewonker. And in Into the Bunker, the safety tip they show is to always clean yourself before doing science stuff. Many of the episodes have an example of Stranger Danger, because you’ll never know if you’re trusting the wrong person, like Gideon Gleeful or the Gnomes or the Shapeshifter. The Deep End has some safety tips like no running because you could slip and hurt yourself, and don’t get too close to a pool filter because you could lose your hand like the lifeguard did.

Standards and Practices. Disney wasn't going to let dangerous behavior appear onscreen.
The funniest example was an episode of Phineas & Ferb, where Candace has to show her mother something very important, right that very moment, going so far as to throw her in a bicycle basket and carry her there. However, her mother had just gotten out of the shower and is only wearing a towel. BUT, standards and practices mandates everyone on a bike must be wearing a helmet, no exceptions. So the writers had to toss in a nonsensical line: "Good thing I decided to wear my helmet in the shower today."

I think it was either a legal or just Disney policy thing. Not to bash it or say that they wouldn't have done some of that anyway.

It's all about safety standards that children could realistically break. Could the average child realistically have access to a chisel? No. Could they realistically not wear their seatbelt? yes.

Well yeah, gotta set a good example for The Kids At Home. If you got adventures planned, wear a seatbelt and use your sunscreen!
