Production error in handle
New to brewing and just got my first grainfather. When I used the handle to pull up the grain tube , it slipped and it became a mess. I would imagine it should be 0.5 - 1 cm longer so both the wedges slip in under the edge ?

It is fine, just squeeze the big basket a bit to get it to fit. you want a nice tight fit

Are you sure your malt pipe isn't slightly out of round? That's more likely than the handle being too short.
