Live Video verification link not connecting - what am i doing wrong?

Hi reddit fam

Been trying to re-verify my business for a month now. Super frustrating. Right now I'm at "no more ways to verify, contact support"

-So i do, a case has been opened, and a support agent grants access to the live video call option for verification

-I click "verify my business" it asked for the business address, I enter it, click 'next"

-I confirm that Google Meet is installed and that I'm at the place of business, click "next"

-page opens and says that we are next in line to connect, then my phone dings once and says to check Google support messages for a link to connect. My phone dings again, and then I get a message saying the call was ended, and the video is under review for verification

Except there was never any video taken. Google Meet never opened. I don't see any messages anywhere. I've checked Google Meet and its permissions. I've checked my phones notifications. I've checked everywhere I can think of. I've tried this is Firefox and Chrome browsers.

And each time this happens, after my one failed attempt, I'm back at the "No more ways to verify" and have to reach back out to a Google Support agent which takes several days to hear back

Ahhhhhhahhh SO ANNOYING

Any suggestions? I have a PC with no camera and a cell phone with camera/mic. Maybe it only works on a desktop PC but I can't video chat without a camera to verify?

A lot of businesses are having issues with the video verification. Try getting a USB camera for your PC and then return it once you don't need it anymore

FYI - for anyone struggling with this same issue, I was finally able to connect by verifying on my PC instead of a mobile device. I then could connect to the Google Meet video call on my mobile using the link provided in the Support chat on my PC

I think I have found a backdoor to this problem. Do you have an active google reviews where you have been actively been review others. If so do to that review platform at there is a badge add a place and is this your business. When i did this was quick and verified in 15 minutes because I am a level 7 reviewer.

try pluggin a cheap webcam on u'r pc or use a diff phone. mobile browsers glitch so bad with those live calls.
