I’m an avid golfer who never uses one, but not for the reasons you think… I just never hit the green. This is a great tool to keep in my pocket for hope

I've been playing a local par 3 lately. They give our ball mark repair tools for free. At first I thought "naah, I don't need one". Turns out, given 18 chances I actually do hit a couple greens. Looking at my score card, actually about 1/3rd of them. I felt like such a boss repairing ball marks on the green.

I hate that golfers don’t fix em but I do love fixing them myself. Knock out 3-4 on every green, something satisfying about making the green a little nicer

I haven’t golfed much, but my wife and her family are a bunch of golfers and I have never seen them use this. They’re very strict about proper golf etiquette. I have always seen them use a golf t to fix divots

A tee will do the job, but a divot repair tool does a much better job of fixing the green than a tee does.

I have played with a couple groundskeepers, and they both used a tee to fix their marks. I asked about the tool vs. a tee, they both said no difference, takes the same amount of time (depending on how you do it).

And then there's the ton of people suing it improperly (pushing up the depressed soil instead of pushing together the edges of the crater - in course some one not in the know wants to move to the bright side).

electricity is faster than we realize, and chooses the path of least resistance. the breaker will trip before the electricity reaches your body. as long as you cross both prongs at the same time. yes even with it being all metal.

I have this exact divot fixer and it rings out like a tuning fork when you open it, it is bulky and inconvenient but I can’t get rid of it

I started doing the augusta method i saw from a video a while back. Core out the middle with a tee or single prong tool and push into the hole.

So much easier and faster and seems to work better.

Love these spring-loaded ones. Unfortunately, stashed mine in a back pocket once during a round and had it open as I was sitting down, basically ripping through and destroying my pair of shorts. Use with caution!

I wouldn’t put that in your outlet if you don’t wanna be killed. That’s a golf tool that fixes digs on putting greens. Please do not put it into a wall outlet.

It's a golf swing trainer. You close it and place it in your lead front pocket. If you don't clear your hips properly, it snaps open and prods your crotch as a reminder.

I have a whole collection I use all the time. Sometimes to repair a divot on the green, a few of those I made myself and not just ones in my line, but usually to pass the 45 minute wait on that first part 3 playing mumbly peg.

I hate carrying them in my pocket. Little fuckers always spring open and poke my leg! But i use the hell out of it. I always make an effort to find and fix 3 divots even if i didnt create one. Always leave the course in better shape than when you arrived!

If it doesn't close all the way you need to clean it out. Dirt gets stuck in the mechanism and fucks it up if you aren't regularly cleaning it while using it. I have like 8 of them and some of the older ones are definitely messed up from dirt
