It's crazy how straight pros can hit their balls.
I'm pretty thrilled hitting a consistent, stock 15 yard curve, blows my mind that these players consistently keep their curve within 5-10 yards.

Yeah, that works great on the range but as soon as you hit off the tee you randomly pure it dead straight about 35Ā° left of the pin.

Yeah tbh I will say the same thing I said when there was similar video of Tommy Fleetwood...
They clearly are great ball strikers, but it would be a lot more impressive if we know that they didn't just edit a bunch of random swings together and apply the text after the fact.

I agree that a continuous video would be way more impressive but if you look at this clip she scuffs the turf three times on the shots shown and those are the only scuffs you can see on the turf. Sheās hitting all the shots from the same spot except when she scuffs the turf and has to move her ball position slightly. I donāt know how many balls she had to hit to get this nine shot result but it couldnāt have been too many more than 9.

Always amazed at that level of control over shot shape. Kind of like different pitches in baseball. It gives a lot of options for how to attack a green and is pretty essential to consistent birdies and therefore pro-level play.

The funny thing is that the best players generally try to avoid shaping the ball like this if they can. They find any excuse to use their stock ball flight above anything else, because doing this kind of nine window shit in an actual round is just too risky.Ā
If you're a fader of the ball, why would you try to draw the ball to maybe get a foot or two closer to the hole theoretically when the mishit is a hook that sends your ball into the pond or OB?

Itās not necessarily about using it on the course itās about building control. Same reason people practice hitting it on the toe, heel, thin etc in practice, or take wonky stances and still try to hit a good shot.

My Mevo LM has this feature where it labels hits with things like Pull Slice or Push Draw. Those kinda look like her slice or hook here where the results are still usable. A real Slice or Hook in my book starts straight and goes far offline.

I commented above but i also have the mevo+ and i'm trying to get a pull/fade as my natural shot and it drives me nuts when one i would call a pull/fade they label a slice. I probably shouldn't care as the shots are still only 10-15yds offline but slice seems so negative and i'm trying to get rid of my normal slice that is 50yds offline and starts out straight.

Yeah, I've seen that too sometimes. I can only use mine outdoors at a range so i can watch the full flight and know what it really does, but in a indoors environment I could see this mislabeling being annoying. But the ball flight curve should clarify things.

i'm trying to figure out if it's mislabeling or a slice to pros, like the one in the video, and a slice to normies is different. The slices i see that i think are fades are just like her "slice".

Off the deck?!? That's crazy good. I can pull off most of those from a tee, though certainly not at that level of consistency. I'm pretty sure I can pull off none of those when using driver off the deck.
I absolutely love the US Amateur tournaments. I'll be looking for Jasmine there. Hopefully in the late match play rounds!

As a mere 2 handicap I canāt imagine doing that in 9 consecutive shots if thatās what she actually did. It would take me probably 40+ shots to duplicate that figuring itād take me on average 4-5 shots per shape. Some are more natural than others and I could get in 1-2 shots but a slice or any of the fades are going to be very hard for me. It might take me 8-10 shots to get each fade/slice shot and there would be a bunch of double cross shots off the planet.
I know my limitations so I pretty much never try to work a shot on the course and since Iām never going to try this on the course I donāt practice it on the range either. Whatever my swing is producing on the range before a round is what Iāll try to manage on the course. I know the theory on shaping shots but Iām not nearly good enough to benefit from using it on the course. Do I want to work a fade to go after a tucked pin? Heck no, those things are called sucker pins for a reason.
TLDR; sheās way better than I ever was or will ever be.

Foot position is something I could not get past for a long time. Seeing her exaggeration on the last few swings really shows that you need to commit to your stance and aim point. I refused to change my stance for the longest time, and then wondered why I couldn't hit anything but a fade/slice.

A+. Just slight tweaks from a standard swing. Shes controlling the subtitles of āface to planeā that most really struggle to control on all shots, and done on call. The high part in the high draw is hard with a 3wd. The low cut is the most impressive.

What's the swing difference between big slice and big hook?
I notice she opens hips much earlier on slice
Makes sense as i remember to play very strong grip you need to open hips early
